Holy Cross Church (c17th frescoes and the oldest altar in Slovenia), Sveta Gora ("Holy Mountain", 681 m, a popular place of pilgrimage with the basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption), Peace Park on Sabotin (609 m, tour of bunkers and museum collection), observation tower in Gonjače (height 24 m), Kromberk Castle (early c17th, with museum), Kostanjevica Friary (1625, crypt with tombs of members of the House of Bourbon, including Charles X, the last king of France), Dobrovo Castle (early c17th) – these are just some of the attractions in the immediate surrounding area.
